This is a demonstration setup of osCommerce, products shown are for demonstrational purposes, any products purchased will not be delivered nor will the customer be billed. Any information seen on these products is to be treated as fictional.
The base install of osCommerce is quite complicated showing the powerful functionality of osCommerce. This may put off someone wanting a simpler cart. The base install has been modified here to demonstrate how osCommerce can be used for a much simpler cart. The following changes have been made:- The right column has been removed
- The majority of infoboxes have been removed to leave three in the left column
- The standard osCommerce buttons have been replaced
- The font styles, color scheme, header and footer have been changed.
- Product information pages changed to display large images
- Minor text and labelling changes
While not showing you everything that can be done to modify and customize osCommerce, this shows you what is possible using this powerful ecommerce tool.
Over the coming months this cart will be modified more heavily to make it easier to use for the end user. Check back to see the progress.
